On Jan 7th, 2013, Dylan released yet another song in support of the Syrian Revolution called Syria the HealerA note from Dylan...This song is dedicated to a Syrian man named Zaidoun Alzoabi who was arrested on Dec. 15 2012 by Syrian Secret Police in Damascus. Just days before his disappearance, he spoke to me via Skye about his new initiative to promote unity and humane behavior amongst all Syrians in the face of the sectarianism that threatens the very fabric of his country. He calls the movement "the Moral Alternative", and he commissioned this song from me in order to promote his cause. Needless to say I was inspired, as I always am when I hear Zaidoun speak.
Any funds raised by this song will go directly to an organization called "Life for Relief and Development" that does an outstanding job of getting aid directly to Syrians who need it. www.lifeusa.org/site/PageServer?pagename=c_syria
